ernie_tangalakis
I am thinking about getting a 1V to go with my EOS 3. Is the upgrade worth it or should I just get another 3. I shoot weddings with my 3 now and 1D.
khitrovg
I think the responses from this forum thread will help. http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00DnGG I shot and still shoot with EOS 3, if you need very good weather sealed camera go with 1V, but EOS 3 is a workhorse I had it for 8-9 years while shooting weddings. cliff_henry
Ernie, In addition to the differences already stated, there is one other that I find important to me for wedding shoots. On the 1V there is the ability to register a focus point and then quickly select that point using a button. Since I manually select my focus points and switch between portrait and landscape a lot, I find that feature very fast and helpful. When I use my 3, which I use as a backup to the 1V or when shooting color and B&W, I find I am always trying to press the registry button, which, of course, is not there. fotografz
A workhorse and VERY fast focusing camera. It is my color film back-up to the Digital Canons, and prime B&W film shooter when just carrying Canon gear to a wedding.<div></div>
