john falkenstine
I discovered that we have a point and shoot forum but that it is moribund. Will it be re-activated? How about making it a 35mm point and shoot.
bill_tuthill
Most 35mm P&S models are out of production; companies are just selling what's left in warehouses. Agreed that this type of camera had a niche (high quality ISO 400 with minimal shutter lag) but the Fuji E900 might be the end of that. If you have questions about film P&S cameras, post them to the equipment forum, and just be happy if somebody responds to your post. I don't know what I'd do if my Minolta FZE/Riva 28-75 died. Despite crappy center-weighted metering, the lens is a cut above kit SLR lenses, although not quite as good as pro glass.
