anton frid photography
Hi guys Hopefully you can help me. I'm looking for a way to manually replicate a medium 6x6 or 4x5 border film effect. I really like the look, but have no idea how to do it for every picture. I don?t have the money to buy DreamSuite Series from Auto FX Software. All I?m looking to do is Photo-realistic 4 x 5 film frames with unique translucency; combine images together using 2 1/4, 4x5 and 35mm filmstrip collages. Perhaps anyone knows where i can download it for free, or how to do it yourself. All i need are those effects. Don?t really want to buy the entire suite for $179 Anton

stacy
You can buy the 4x5 filter from autofx for $50. You can do about a dozen different presets or customize your own. You can also buy their 35mm film for $50...<div></div>

scott_foster
I have a follow up question with these great free borders. How do you put the border onto a photo in Photoshop? I'm sure it's an easy process but just can't seem to get it. Can anyone give me a set by step process? Thanks.
charlie_lyle
Hi Scott, If you look at Scott Kelby's book "The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers", the chapter title "Medium Format Frames" (pages 412 through 415) describe step by step how to achieve this effect (I don't think you need cs2 for this).
