nuno_campos1
Hi, According to the Fujifilm Neopan 400CN Professional Product Information Bulletin, we can read the following recommendation: When printing on colour papers in systems such as the Fujifilm Frontier, we recommend that the configuration be set to Colour Negative input mode and Monochrome output mode. So, I ask: if the purpose is to print B&W images on colour papers, is there any difference between printing a C41 B&W negative film or a regular colour negative film (using the colour negative input mode and monochrome output mode in both circumstances)? Do the C41 B&W films perform better? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Nuno Campos
mawz
In my experience, the C-41 B&W films tend to be finer grained and have better tonality than an ISO 400 Colour film. So, yes tehre is a difference. Also you can predict the results better with the Chromagenic B&W films than with colour printed B&W.
russ_butner___portland__or
I've been burning quite a bit of Neopan 400CN lately. It prints up on color paper quite well. Much better than converting color negative to B/W. I overexpose my Neopan 400CN, by 1/3 a stop (rate it @ 320), and get great results.
