Of course they were. A contrarian view should work much better. Try tenure, variety, not reciprocated, relatively less popular . . . . almost any other filters would work better than "popular = good".

I like the names being back, but it still doesn't take care of the drive-bys and the new people to PN that start rating right away without sitting back and observing how it is done. I feel the same way as Kim about giving a 3 or 4 to someone that they will retaliate and give me the same thing, deserving or not. Sadly, I guess the only answer is, if you don't want to see the low numbers, then go critques only. Sondra Kicklighter

i strongly belive the way the system should work is if you don,t comment you cannot give a rateing, there by explainning your reason for the rateing,admittedly this would lead to less rateings but eliminating the mate rate,and give lagitamisy to all rateings no matter what catigory they may be in.
