dai_hunter
There is no catagory on Photo.Net for "fun" stuff but this has enoughabout old lighting techniques to be interesting... and might best go here. Watch this vintage video made in 1940 when a rather "pervy" film makergoes along to explore models and modelling and encounters probably thegrumpiest stills photographer in the western world. He shoots with aLF studio camera as well. Some interesting short scenes of old style tungsten lighting. Watch,in particular, for the photographer's call for the "moon" near the endof the shoot. There is also a good (genuine?) hint for shooting highlyreflective surfaces. Don't have to sownload it you can watch it on line. When you call theURL it opens a QuickTime viewer in the browser and streams the video. This is a hoot! I had to watch it a second time just to finishlaughing from the first. http://www.archive.org/stream/Girlonth1940/Girlonth1940_256kb.mp4 Hunter
