If you are scanning, it depends on the quality of you scanner, and your ability to use it. To get the best, best, results you need to understand your scanner and Photoshop which will always do a better job than your scanner. Choice of Camera/Film/Digital is irrelevant in this process......welcome to the real world. Anyone tells you any different is trying to take your money, market a product for their personnel gain, and fill you full of BS. Just a few thoughts for my P/N friends.... THE LANDSCAPE not the 'photograph' or the digital file or whatever it may or may not be from one minute to next (when you have finally landed back on earth) just the PLACE if you prefer. Good sea, clouds, cliff etc. If I were there I would photograph it. Blown highlights, radioactive rocks glowing, Allen screaming madly in the distance throwing thunderbolts around (like a cheap rip-off of a scene from Monty Python & the Holy Grail) and flailing at the grass with his Fuji S3!
