Rental house in Taiwan???

Hello, I'm looking for a rental house in Taiwan that can provide me with 35mm or Medium

format Digital camera systems as well as Profoto lighting equipment or an equivalent and

grip equipment.

They simply don't exist. The concept of equipment rental is completely nonexistant here in the photographic world, as is the concept of studio rental. Sorry to be so blunt and harsh, but that is the reality...

I've been told that it's possible to rent equipment from one store in Taipei. They're on Hankou St, between Bo-Ai Rd (informally known as Camera St among the expat photographers), and Chungching South Rd. I don't know the name of the store (I used to have their card, but I lost it), but it's the biggest one on this part of the street, and has a Leica sign out the front.

 

As I mentioned at the beginning, it's what I've been told by another photographer. I personally don't know whether or not it's true. And there's the added possibility that you may need to be a Taiwanese citizen to rent from them.

 

I have bought equipment from them, as have some friends, and the sales staff are both knowledgeable and not-pushy.
