I agree, Iulian, it does look familiar. It's obviously a 2x3 inch or 6.5x9 cm (or just possibly larger -- if old enough, might go as large as full plate, though the viewers seem right for 6.5x9) plate camera, there's no room for rolls. Focusing is probably the lower knob on the right (visible) side, moving the bed back and forth under the solid front section, assuming there's a ground glass. Too many dials and knobs on the front -- one for shutter speed, one for aperture, leaves one more, perhaps to select a built-in filter? The extended lens suggests a date before the First World War, and it might well predate the turn of the 20th century; it's essentially a miniature, portable version of a rear focused folding flatbed camera.

The name, however, escapes me.

all i could find is a name and a date

it seems this little fella is a DETECTIVE CYCLOS camera, made around 1935...but it looks like could be much earlier built for,as donald here mentioned, the shape of the lens suggests this.

otherwise,no luck with catalogues i found, perhaps other members here 'll have more luck...i am still curious about this :-)

i enhanced a bit the cameras so more detail is available now

while searching, found this exhibition online, quite interesting cameras and text
