vkjar
I know that I may be the envy of a few LF photographers out there withthis question. I have ~50 dark 4x5 sheet film envelopes. It is adouble envelope system one black paper envelope which fits into asecond Red envelope on which all of the photos info can be written on.They are light tight! They are nice since one can fit a few unexposedsheets into them. Even though they are made from a heavy paper, theyare still paper and will wear out at some point. What I want to knowis where I can get more. I am looking into having some made as longas they can be made light tight. I do use the old film box method but I find these much easier as Iknow exactly what images are inside. Really handy when I shootdifferent film types too. Any info???Cheers Visti

randall ellis
I save all my empty boxes for this purpose. They are long lasting and stack neatly. It does take time to build up a good number, but they can hold a lot of negatives in each one. - Randy
oliver_tan1
Freestyle sells 4x6 black bags. That's another option. I use two black 4x6 black bags without any problems. 4x6 black bag = .25cents.
ted_chambers
I use the Freestyle bags as well, but being plastic they provide little protection against bending, creasing, etc. They also sell cardboard mailers (or you can get them in a Staples) to hold the bags safely. vkjar
I will give the black bags a try! I am currently having an envelope maker look at what it would take to make these envelopes, hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a leg, or be required to order thousands at a time! Thank you for your input. Cheers Visti
