"Internet Explorer cannot open site" message

I've been geeting this message intermittently for the past 3 weeks or so.

Doesn't seem to matter which PC I'm using -- home or work or someone else's.

The page comes back when I click on the IE Refresh button.

 

It's annoying -- anyone know what's going on?

I've seen it too, but only when not logged in. I suspect it's some sort of flakey ad being served. The odd thing is that the page actually loads, THEN the message shows up and the page closes. This also makes me think it's some sort of ad which tries to load after the page content and fails.<div></div>

I also get the error message fairly freqently on several different PC's. I also rarely log in. (I'm lazy.)

I seem to be getting it more frequently as of late. Not sure what is going on. Sometimes I'll have to refresh two or three times even though I've seen it load up.

This morning 05/26, I had trouble with a top banner hanging up page loading in both IE6 and Firefox. I did not get a chance to save the offending URL.

 

I don't usually log in unless I am making a comment or uploading. The website really needs to work properly with or without logging in.

Heck I'm getting the error message just trying to get to this page. I'm always logged in so its not just limited to those who are not.
