Fencing

I am in the process of beginning a large scale personal project which

covers more than just sports, but specializing in sports, I decided to

start with sports. I visited a local fencing club last night to get

some ideas, see what their venue was like, check the lighting

situation and look for different angles and the like. I snapped a

couple test shots and this is one of them. I also am toying with some

Photoshop work that give some photos a antique feel to them, and with

fencing being an "old world" sport, I felt it fit pretty well with

this shot.<div></div>

Fencing is probably among the more difficult sports to photograph. The lighting is usually worse than amateur boxing clubs and the movements at least as quick.

I think your "old world" approach is perfectly appropriate.
