delano_jones
I have just purchase a Metz 402 Flash unit with battery pack and charger. I am trying to located a PC cord or module to connect the flash unit to my camera or to a Canon Rebel X. My camera is a Fuji S9000 which have a hot shoe. I am going to purchase a Fuji S3 Pro which have a PC connection but I still will need a module or a PC cord. Delano
bryan_lardizabal
Is this what you are looking to pay $1000 for?
michael_madio
Use the standard PC cord as it will let you connect the flash to pretty much any suitable camera. If your camera has a hot-shoe but no PC connection, you can get a hot-shoe to PC adapter from most camera stores for a few dollars. You will also want to get a voltage protection device, such as the Wein Safe-Sync, as the flash trigger voltage may be too high for the cameras. stephen_kruft
The Metz 402 takes a standard "HH" ("household" 2-prong) PC cord. Do not use it with a digital camera without an adapter because it produces high voltage. This was the first Metz thyristor flash and is very good and powerful but very old. I still have some around. The battery packs fail but can be re-celled. The PC and power cables can fail. Otherwise it is quite reliable.
