What film for Rome monuments?

can anybody suggest me which 35mm colour slide i can use to shot monuments in Rome?

I was thinking at agfa rsx or kodak 100gx (I have also used kodak ebx, astia, provia and velvia but i am a real beginner).

 

I would avoid ebx and velvia because too saturated.

Kodak worked for me when I used in Barcelona nice colours, can't comment on the Agfa not used it, but would agree on the Velvia blocks up in the shadow area to much for my liking.

I agree with using the film you are familiar with. My wife and I were in Rome two weeks ago and regret not studying the bus system before going. The subways are fast but don't go near many of the tourist sites. And it closes early, We were stranded near the Trevi fountain and had to take a taxi back to our hotel because we didn't know the bus system. Have a gelato for me.

I took sensia when i went a couple of years ago, and mostly the shots turned out great but a few suffered from high contrast (blocked shadows / white highlights) so that might be something to consider. Strong sunlight and pale, hard-edged stone makes for some high contrast scenes.
