All together I have sold about 20+ items this way. I have generally received about as much as B&H and Adorama would receive for these same items. In other words, people pay me as much as they would pay B&H or Adorama for the same items. While it doesn't make total sense to me why someone would pay me as much as they would pay B&H or Adorama, I am not complaining. Ebay is the way to go to receive a fair price for your equipment. If you are willing to risk your equipment to unknown individuals, you might gain more in a private deal. It really depends on your comfort level.
