I understand the optics of this lens are made by Schneider, which offers a variety of lens mounts for the Schneider version of the lens. If I purchase a Schneider lens mount intended for the Schneider PC Super Angulon, is it possible to detach the Leica lens mount on the *Leica* PC Super Angulon and attach the Schneider mount? I read your link, and I gather that the bayonet fitting can be changed to fit more than one camera brand. But what do you want to do? Fit an SA to a brand other than Leica? To do so, I'm hoping to unscrew the lens mount from the lens,then screw on the Nikon lens mount. This is how Schneider ships their version of the PC Super Angulon. It may be that the Leica version has a different mechanical structure and is 'bespoke' for Leica only, and the Schneider version has different mechanics which allow various mounts to be fitted ? helenbach Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 I use mine on my R6.2 and my Nikon FE2. It is just a matter of removing one flange and attaching the other - the four screws are in the same place, believe it or not. Strictly speaking the lens should be adjusted because the focussing scale may not be correct - but I've found the difference to be slight in practice and haven't bothered.
