zoom macro lens

Recommended Posts

No.

Canon makes a zoom macro lens, 1x to 5x, but there's no infinity focus.

If you really want that kind of close up ability in a zoom, prepare to use diopters and

extension tubes.

I suppose you could use the Nikkor zoom macro, but you'd have to use stop down

metering and manually stop the lens down to shooting aperture.

Nikon makes a Zoom Telephoto AF Zoom Micro Nikkor 70-180mm 4.5-5.6D ED Autofocus lens that could be fitted to an EOS body via a F-to-EF mount adapter. You would have to do stop-down metering, and focus manually, neither of which should be a big problem for macros, as long as your subjects are stationary. It is not quite 1:1, though (1:1.33 at 180mm, 1:3.22 at 70mm), although you can get to 1:1 with a closeup accessory lens.
