afs760bf
Just curious, but I posted a photo for critique this morning and it went through the whole queue without getting a rating. So later in the day (just now) I clicked on some thumbnails in the critique queue and didn't find one photo that had anonymous ratings. I did find a few that had direct ratings. Is it just me, or did I miss the big announcement? I've been gone for about three weeks and I know I missed some, but haven't seen anything about this. Anyone care to fill me in? afs760bf
OK, when I click on "rate recent," I get a message that says due to heavy load, it's been disabled. I never rate that way any more, but if that's what determines which photos get into the TRP, I guess nothing will be getting there, eh?
afs760bf
Then it would be nice if they'd change the explanation as to how photos get into the TRP - or maybe they'll do away with the TRP as well?
yann_r.
When I go on the rate/recent page, I don't read exactly the same text than you.<br> I can read: <i>"Due to heavy load this feature has been disabled temporarily."</i><br> I think that the word "temporarily" should has some importance. So I simply understand that a *bug* (on which one admins are surely working on) doesn't allow members to rate anonymously for the moment.
john falkenstine
It appears to be a technical issue. Let's compare it to one of your horses. You can only feed it so much before it comes out the other end. Now, if the other end becomes restricted, your horse's appetitite will drop off correspondingly. darrell_m
let's all imagine it's permanent. hopefully it will last for a week or two. notice the nudes have disappeared too. maybe apple said no ratings next to their ads.
pjmeade
RR is off the agenda for me too, although everything else seems to be working. Going back to the horse analogy, TRP may dry up soon and all we will be left with is the fora. Is it time to start 3/3-ing forum posts? (This one is a certain 3/3)
will king
They are probably doing some changes to the ratings system . I remember Brian mentioned a few months ago that he was thinking of making all rates anonymous. Maybe he's working on that now.
wade_rose
Would be nice to hear from the horse,s mouth.:D
mottershead
Anonymous rating has not been abolished. The Rate Recent interface is causing technical problems and has been disabled temporarily. We are working to reenable it. If you were on the system at the right time today, you would have noticed it briefly re-enabled, in fact. But this brief period showed that the technical problems have not yet been resolved.

LindaM
I have a few questions for Brian. What happens to photos which have been posted for critique while this technical glitch is being worked out? Should I re-post once everything is running properly again? I have posted several that have gotten no anonymous ratings, so I think they have most likely fallen through the cracks here. Thanks!
berryl
No ratings: And I just thought that my posts really were as bad I thought they were! Phew! what a relief. Berryl
contax-diablow-645
It is probably working like Mr Mottershead does when it feels like, i have been wondering where he has been hiding and not responding to all of our concerns i like Linda McLellan have quite a few questions i would like him to answer for us all and so i attach the email you refuse to answer. St666 Mr Mottershead, I am constantly sending emails to photo. net and i as yet have not had the courtesy of a response i have also emailed you and had the same response why? I have recently become a member of your site and i am experiencing many strange things one minute my ratings for my work are high then the next they have been removed and no explanation has been given. You have removed other artists work and again no explanation has been given. If this is the way your company conducts its business then you are misleading its members, you should post your reasons for making alterations to peoples accounts and you should have the courtesy to respond to your members and non members emails. At present you seem to be content in taking peoples money and doing what you want with their sites this is abusive, i hope this time you have the courtesy to respond with a full explanation to this email. Yours Sincerely St Anslem
