jeremiah_johnston
Has anyone used A & M Photo World, http://www.amphotoworld.com, they are offering a Canon 20D for just over $1000, I had thought I would get the Digital Rebel XT when it hits this month but for under $100 more I could go with the 20D with lens. If this is a reputable vendor it would definitely be worth it.
Greg M
If it's considerably less than either Adorama or B&H I'd check them out very carefully. You know the saying. If it looks too good to be true.... They may be selling a body without a box, instructions, disc, strap, etc for $1,000, and at the same price or more with everything and with inflated shipping costs. There's nothing more exhilerating than a 3-4 week hastle with a bait & switch store.
Greg M
...and if you don't think it'll happen to you, then peruse these listings: http://www.photo.net/neighbor/view-one-about?id=2&about=A%26M+Photo+World

Greg M
Was it Mark Twain who said "There's a sucker born every minute"? That is probably pasted over the phone of every salesman at A&M Photo World. There will always be someone who thinks they can find the better, lower price. For those folks, there are stores like this.
mike_elek
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1988.html If this doesn't send you running in the other direction, then nothing will. "A fool and his money are soon parted."
bobatkins
Here's a photo of the street address A&M use (or used to use). <p> Photo credit is <a href="http://www.donwiss.com/pictures/BrooklynStores/h0049.htm">http://www.donwiss.com/pictures/BrooklynStores/h0049.htm</a> - Don Wiss<div></div>
r_wagner
Just a little trivia; David Hannum, a banker and rival of P.T. Barnum is the author of the quote: "There's a sucker born every minute."
