jon_shumpert1
I just bought a 10x24 muslin background that I will be using to do full length portraits. What is the best way to remove wrinkles from it? I imagine ironing would work, but a background of that size would take forever. Is there any other way. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. beno_t_marchal
Steam and control over the depth of field work well. I have a portable steamer that works wonder.
It does not remove all the wrinkles (ironing does) but it makes them small enough that, with appropriate DOF, they are no longer noticable.
--ben
savagesax
I ironed a backdrop once on a carpet and the carpet melted. Bad idea! $3000 mistake. Steam seems like a good idea. Never tried it. I first mount them and bring them to the cleaners and have the cleaners press it. $20 well spent.
buckry
I just hang mine, then spray the wrinkles I want to get rid of with plain water. When the water dries, the wrinkls are gone.
adw
Tumble dry it then use it straight after?
brandonhamilton
Hang it, then spray it a bit with Fabreeze. Fabreeze takes wrinkles right out of cotton.
