chris_rini1
Hello,I took my C-4 lens apart to free up the aperture adjustment. Somehow I upset the factory infinity calibration. Anyone know any tricks to getting it back beyond ground glass and a jewelers' loupe? Thanks,Chris
joris_van_looveren
As for ground glass, you can get by with wax paper. Failing that, a piece of plastic from one of these thin plastic grocery bags worked for me when I had to recalibrate the lens of my Agfa Isola. For a loupe you can use a loose 50mm (or wider) lens. (Rear element pointed at the "ground glass", you look through the front element.)
jon_goodman1
Here is the easiest way I've found, complete with handy illustrations! http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-123.html Jon
richard_oleson
The problem with the C4 is that the infinity adjustment is locked in from BEHIND, inaccessible if the lens is on the camera! can't imagine why they would have done that.... but here is a sketch for the lens removal, which is not so hard: http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-127.html :)=
j.ed_baker
There are eight possible starting points for the focusing helix. Only one is correct. Take the front assembly off and try restarting at a different point.
