timothy_vale
I've recently purchased one of these, which was apparently designedfor use with the Ikonta series. Does anyone have any information aboutit, particularly whether it was primarily intended as an enlarger or aprojector? A copy of a manual would be a great help, though I suspectthe chances of anyone having one are probably slim.
mike_elek
Tim, can you post a digital photo of the thing? Sounds interesting. [You're probably right about the manual, but you never know.]
peter_4711
Hello Timothy, the Zeiss MIRAX is an enlarger attachment for Zeiss Ikon plateholder cameras, or rollfilm cameras to taked the backside. The MIRAX can fitted on camera back, but is not perfect. The camera is of lamp hot needy distressed, and all camera lenses will work best results on infinity don't for enlarging prints close up, and lens cement are sensitiv for hot too. So is the MIRAX attachemt a littel help, in a earlyer time for people maked contact prints only. Sorry, but implicated a risk for enlargemend, and for projeketor uses is possible with an extremly risk. eter
timothy_vale
Thank you both for your helpful replies. From your words of caution about its potential to fry the camera, I'll be using it with a nice cheap Nettar and not my Super Ikonta! Photos to follow.
