mottershead Posted December 1, 2004 Share Posted December 1, 2004 The article went up on slashdot.org at 5:50AM Eastern time, and since then we have received about 30,000 hits on the article -- in about 3 and half hours. This is a lot for a "Learn" section article, and most of it was in the last hour or so as people get on their computers. Our server has been handling about 1.5 million page impressions per day for our regular traffic. The slashdot link is probably going to ramp up to maybe 20K to 30K page impressions per hour on top of our normal traffic. All of this means that we are going to get a bit of exercise today.
