Rob F.
The aperture ring on my 28-85 has lethargic clickstops. Where is a good place to send it at a reasonable price? Any recommendations? I assume the official Nikon repair is the most expensive way to go.

dante_stella
You need to tighten a small beryllium spring inside the lens mount. If you are mechanically with it, you should be able to remove the aperture ring and tighten the spring with a teeeny screwdriver.
