merg_ross
John, Try, The Filter Connection (www.2filter.com). I purchased a 60mm & 57mm for Schneider lens last year. Phone: 1-800-882-2832.
s._c.
I was able to purchase a Schneider push on lens cap for the rear element of my Rodenstock 135 5.6 Sironar-N and I believe the size was the same as the front, 40.5mm. I got it from B&H Photo for around $15 I think. I also use the calumet wraps when they are on the board.

paul_hoyt
Schneider has a website that lists the lens cap for their lenses. They also sell directly if you can not find a store in your area. The direct link is: http://www.schneideroptics.com/photography/accessories/lens_caps/ Paul
jnanian
john i have bought lens caps for both a 90mm super angulon and 210/370 symmar directly from schneider. i originally bought some caps that were supposed to fit from b&h, but they mailed me the wrong sizes 3 times in a row, and then hassled me in taking them back/returning them and after the 3times i realized they were a lost cause. schneider knows the exact size and they don't charge very much for the caps. good luck! ronald_moravec1
Century something or other in Califirnia is the official importer. They got the caps for me with pleasure. And did NOT even charge me. Guess where I think you should go.
daniel_smith6
Call SK Grimes & get a custom made cap. You won't go back to the cheesy ones again after using these.
alec1
Pacific Rim camera usually carries a large selection of Schneider caps. Check their catalog which is online.
a m
40.5 mm is the same size that fits on the older Leica rangefinder lenses that take 39 mm filters. Up to a few years ago, you could buy Hama and similar 40.4 mm plastic lens caps in Europe quite cleaply. Much better deal than the expensive Leitz metal caps. brian_ellis3
I've bought four or five caps from Schneider. They cost either $10 or $20 depending on size. When I've ordered generic caps by mail they've never seemed to be the right size. It sometimes has looked like the diameter measurement given in the listings were for the outside diameter rather than the inside or something like that but whatever the reason several of them haven't fit. I'd go with Schneider and then you won't have to worry about fit. I've also ordered custom caps from Grimes for old lenses when I was unsure of the diameter. They are unquestionably fine caps but the ones I bought cost about $50 IIRC and I didn't see that they were any better than the ones I've bought from Schneider.
