httpwww.photo.netphoto1664877429
Once the subject is in focus it keeps it in the same spot and it will not refocus until the photometer is off, about 8 seconds later, or until I turn the camera off an on again. It happens in all kinds of light situations, in such situations I am not keeping the shooter pressed. It happens intermittently and started when I got the MF26, may be a coincidence, happens in S, C, in spot or wide area autofocus. Or may be something normal?. I am not so confident with the technicians here in Bolivia and I woudnt like to send the camera if that is a normal behavior.Thank you in advance
shoshana
I've had my n90s for close to 5 years now and I have never seen this occur. I don't have the MF26 (is that the optional back?) Maybe something is set wrong in the MF26? 'shana
joseph_smith3
I have a n90s and a MF26. I never have had this problem. Does it happen only with one particular AF lens or all of your AF lenses? The first thing I would do is add new batteries and reset the camera settings to original settings. I would then see what happens in S setting in all three modes, P, A and M and matrix, Spot and Centerweighted metering. Joe Smith
lee_brand
I have noticed that my N90s behaves differently with different lenses. The Nikon lens works spot on. The Sigma lens hunts and does not operate as crisply as the Nikon. Does yours give you this problem with a Nikon (D) lens?
httpwww.photo.netphoto1664877429
All my lenses are nikkors. I had problems with all of them, I have clianed the contacts several times, I will try removing MF 26 batteries.

huey_stevens
Reynaldo The N90s has some internal options available to it by programing through the cable release plug. I have heard of strange things happening with the N90s from time to time that seem to have everything to do with the fact that the camera loses or forgets it's settings. One case in point is a photographer I know who uses his N90s for weddings. He had a mysterious situation with his body one day. When rewinding the roll of film, it left the leader tongue out of the canister, that is the camera did not totally rewind the film completely into the cannister. I've read this is an optional setting that can be programmed through the cable release plug/connector First - Try re-booting, i.e. setting the camera to it's factory defaults. This you wll be able to find in the owners manual or on-line. If that doesn't work, remove the MF26 and reinstall your plain back. If the problem goes away, then it is something to do with the interaction of the MF26 back with the body. As a last resort, peruse the web for info on N90s programming, maybe it is a programming option that can be turned off.
