Giants had come from the underworld to our land, to our world,.,., In the moorning I decided to make a photo-story of my dream,.,., So far I?ve done three photos. Now I need some critques, ideas and feedbacks on how too move on,.,. Now am I correct in assuming this was done in Photoshop (well, I hope it was done Photoshot, or a multiple exposure!!!). If it were me, I'd also try to have some situations with men in the photo, as right now it's all female. I'd also suggest maybe some urban settings if it's possible. Nice work. jluebke Posted August 16, 2004 Share Posted August 16, 2004 Nice work! One thing I want to point out is the softness of the shadow the giant woman is casting on the field. The shadow should be crisper at the points where her body is close to the ground, and will gradually become softer the higher you go. In other words, the shadows of her feet and lower legs should be fairly crisp and dark, as with the woman in the lower right, but the shadows of her torso and head should gradually become softer and more diffuse. Also, the direction seems a bit off to me -- should be casting shadows due East if the top of the photo is North. Great job matching the colors and lighting, and you've got some great ideas here. You'll have to experiment with getting that submerged look in the second shot -- it's not quite convicing, but a great effort nonetheless!! Both in shadow directions and intensity. <p>Excellent job with the lady in the lake! However I found it hard to buy the fact that these little people and big people have so much visually in common e.g. age, fashion etc. that they wouldn't be friends and have seen each other before. The big people just don't look mean enough to chase little people. What if you put a giant baby into the mix and the giant mother is scolding the baby to stop chasing the little people or young boys catching little people for fun when the adults arn't around. With it still undecided who is going to be under center (Eli Manning or Kurt Warner), it is importan.... ...oh... ..uh.. ...oh rats. You mean you DIDN'T mean the New York Football Giants? Sorry. Football on the brain. :) In all honesty, I think your shots are really solid. If you could get one model in particular as a giant, I'd say have a "day with the giant" - like brushing her teeth with a sequoia, eating watermellons like candy, etc. Hope this helps! john falkenstine Posted August 29, 2004 Share Posted August 29, 2004 Arian, some years ago, I latched onto a tire from a B747 that had blown out after the Airplane landed with a defective brake. I took a picture of the tire, blew it up out of scale and then posted folks in normal sizes in front of the tire looking at it...Numerous engineering personnel from Boeing requested a copy of the image.....It was a LOT of fun.
