zaga
Today, on a street with a tripod spread and all, my EOS 1hs body stopped responding, and the LCD screen had "bc" blinking. I had to remove the batteries for a few seconds to reset it. The batteries are only three weeks old and when I check, I get a full. Has anybody had the same problem? Any info on solving or preventing? TIA.
jose_grau
I hasd a similar problem with an eos 600. I got good advice here at photo.net. Just clean Battery and interior contacts. Some dirt can cause little sparks thar eat batteries and cause malfunction. Hope it helps !
alec_holst
this happened to me before with a brand new canon fisheye i bought. whenever the fisheye was on the "bc" would blink, but with my other lens everything worked fine. i took it back to the store and they returned it no problem. also, make sure the gold contacts on the lens and camera are clean. james_castagno
Is it an original EOS-1 or a newer Eos-1v? If it is an older camera you may have to send the booster in to Canon for repair as I have been reading about this failure a lot online. I have an old Eos-1 and I have the same problem, I have not sent the booster to Canon yet but the camera works fine if I take the booster off. I am told the repair cost is in the $175.00 range, you would have to decide whether it will be worth it.
