winfried_buechsenschuetz1
After overcrowding the market with fake Leicas with phantastic paintings, they now turn to the viewfinders: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=12029&item=3831725638&rd=1 and other items from this seller. Gone are the days when you could buy such a viewfinder for EUR/USD 12 in Germany (in bad cosmetic but good technical condition).
stephen hazelton
Is this a bad thing? Or a good thing? If it's a piece of crap, it won't affect the Leica market so it's a non-issue- and if it's usable, then it's a good thing, right? It's advertised as a Russian item, has a hammer and sickle on it, so it's not like it's a counterfeit item.
winfried_buechsenschuetz1
Of course this is not a bad thing - for those who don't pay the amazing prices the seller demands for a re-painted item you can find at least half a dozen of on almost any camera show (in Germany). These things are not really fakes, but I was just amazed how some people try to push the prices of their items.
