edgreene
I've parked the retail price of a 5D in the bank. But I want to wait for rebates(s), perhaps bundled with another product; len(s) maybe?
So: when are rebates anticipated and approximately how much unbundled? stephen sullivan
5D Rebate? Maybe, but I doubt it. 5D Bundled with another product by Canon, NO. But, it's nearing Christmas. So, who knows what a local or online camera store will do.

bobatkins
It's $300 on the 5D, $600 if you buy two different rebate items. Up to $100 back on an expensive "L" series lens. So you could save up to $700.
While the Canon USA Rebates aren't official yet, they are 99.99% certain and should be announced on Sunday (October 15th). carlosmiller
They're making me an offer I won't be able to refuse. Maybe I should get another 5D with a 70-200 f/2.8L IS
terry_smith2
I wonder why they say no PO boxes? B & H has no problem shipping the gear to my box number and that would be the address on my invoice. Also, I'm a US citizen working for the US govt overseas. A PO box is my only address in the US and I'm sure they would not send the rebate to my local address in Belgium. And did anyone notice that the address that you send your rebate claim to is a PO box? If they can use a box number, why can't anyone else? J.W. Wall
We also use a PO box exclusively. We are fortunate in that we can instruct the post office to forward street address mail to our box, although we have to repeat it every six months because of their regulations. So, for something like this rebate, we would use the street address and just get our check after the forwarding delay. Presumably, a rented private mail box would work if it had a street address. In the past, I've seen comments that disallowing postal box addresses reduces fraudulent claims. Don't know if that actually bears out.
