m_.
Haven't done this before. Can anyone give a general developping time for me to start? I shot film at 1600 and will develop in HC-110 solution B (1:31) at about 68F (20C). Thanks.

User_502260
Fuji's website has developing times for various developers with Neopan 1600. Jeff Adler
blknwhtfoto
I second the MAssive Dev Chart. It is a fanstastic resource and I am glad to see another person using Neo 1600 and HC-110. It is my favorite combo. I usually add another minute onto dev time though, ilike the sharp contrast that gives. Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know a film which is similar to Neo 1600 but can be found in 120? Mike
lex_jenkins
Mike, AFAIK, Delta 3200 is the only ultrafast film available in 120.
blknwhtfoto
The speed isnt really what i'm going for. I love the grain size and shape in Neo 1600, but more than anything i like the cold tones and high contrast yumminess involved. I've heard delta 3200 looks better exposed at 1000 or even 1600? Is this true? I suppose is should just try it out, but still don't have a light meter, and can't find a metered prism for my kowa. Mike
lex_jenkins
Mike, Delta 3200 is closer to a true ISO 1000-1200 film if I'm recalling Ilford's info correctly. However I've gotten very good results from it at 1600 in Diafine. Good shadow detail, prints well, grain isn't too bad. At 3200 or more I'd use Microphen. Slower than 1600 I'd probably be tempted to try Perceptol just to see how it affects the popcorn grain that's usually evident in Delta 3200 negs.
