chel_h
I have a 35mm rebel. Years ago (oh, I suddenly feel so old) I took ab&w photography course in college. I bought the color filters that aresuppose to enhance greens and skin tones in b&w photos. Now I am ordering a digital rebel. If I want to take photos I know Iwant to convert to b&w can I use those old filters? Or will it totallynot work to put on a filter, take a color shot and then convert it? lskalstad
Hello Chel, Just a note from someone who is just starting out. Shooting in color and the going to B&W conversion later allows you to use the color layers to emulate many different kinds of filters. It really makes me feel like I am more in control. Definately better than limiting yourself with one filter. To be fair, there are now numerous plugins for B&W coversion. My personal favorite is from www.powerretouche.com is called B&W Studio.
