john_cremati
I had purchased a lens filter that is Russian made.. The only designation on it is.... "H" 4x........ The other filter from the same manufactureur use "O" for orange. There is no information on the MFG web site and most every thing is in Russian..... Could any one tell me what this "H " designation means... The only speculation that I have is that it might be for astromony..
martin_czermak
The russian letter "H" means in arabic letters a "N". So H 4x could mean N 4x, a neutral density filter?
john_cremati
The filters are manufactured by a company called " Hartblei" . The orange filter which I had also recieved has the designation on it as " O " 4x ..... I am assuming the 4x is the filter factor. I could be wrong but I would think if this filter was a Neutral Density Filter it would also have some sort of value on it other than the filter factor... But maybe this is how they rate their filters ...John Cremati...
