« shine-free » face skin powder

What is the powder they use to produce a « shine-free » face skin. I

am looking for something non-cosmetic and non-feminin, something I

can also use on a man�s face. It has to be translucent. Does somebody

know a trademark.

A quick and easy solution is to have the model/subject wash their face just before the shoot. This will get rid of most, if not all, of the shine-producing oils on their skin.

Translucent and and cuts shine. Neutral in tone. There are plenty of others out there also. Almay makes a good relatively cheap fragrance-free hypo-allergenic line.

 

Is this for colour? If you are using Black and White you might want to use something more opaque.

Using diffuse light helps a lot as well. Hard, esp frontal light is very good at causing

glare on skin. Softboxes, beauty dishes, cloudy days solve this problem.

joe, go to "the body shop" and get a package of their powdered paper. it is

basically a booklet with about 60 2x1 inch talcum covered sheets. you just

use one or two on the problem area and you are done. they do not take the

make-up off the women and do not make the men feel feminine, if you know

what i mean...!!
