brad_herman1
This is a gorgeous Leica M6 Titanium Classic, Ref: 10412, that was purchased in June, 2003 from an authorized NY Leica dealer* It was purchased from 'New old Stock'* The camera is in absolute MINT condition, and it still has the plastic on the bottom of the camera* The camera has 2-1/2 years left on the Leica Passport Warranty* It features the Titanium-clad body with the black Ostrich leather, (which is prettier and more desirable than the brown leather), in my opinion* The only mark that can be seen anywhere on the camera is an almost indistinguishable 'rub' on the strap bumpers, but very, very minor* I shot only one roll through the camera, and have decided to sell it as I already have two M6 TTLs, and they are better suited to my style of photography* It includes the outer box, inner plastic presentation case, strap, cap, battery, all papers, and two Leica Passport Warranty cards* This is a pristine, highly collectible, Titanium M6 in 'unheard of' condition, which I really am sorry to sell! You won't be disappointed! Accepting Cashier's Check, money Order or PayPal. Asking $1895.00. (Scans available). Buyer to pay actual S+Ins
steve_hoffman
Brad, If you shot a roll with the camera it's not new! Just say "like new"...
j m shaw
He doesn't say it's new, says it was from new old stock , but doesn't claim it is now new? wish I had the $$$$:)

peter_evans4
Uh, let's get this right. You're saying that you got this camera intending to use it (and not in order to sell it at a profit), and that using it to shoot just a single roll of film was enough to show you that it wasn't suited to your style of photography? What was wrong with it, or with the results? (And what's your style of photography?)
al_kaplan1
I won't pay more than $500 for it if I have to ding up the metal and scuff the leather myself! Too much work. And I only pay by personal check, you pay shipping,
brad_herman1
Hey guys, I didn't mean to get anyone excited or anything. I just wanted to offer a really a really great camera, which is technically, (like new, in the box) to someone in the 'group', who might appreciate it. I'm sorry if I was not clear. So to clarify a few things.. 1.) When I stated, "I already have two M6 TTLs, and they are better suited to my style of photography", What I should have said is that better than 60% of the photography that I do with my Leica's is flash photography, and I use my M6 TTLs in order to utilize the TTL flash capabilities. 2.) There is nothing wrong with the camera. The photos came out great. If this camera is not 100% as described, I'll gladly return your $$. 3.) The camera was purchased from a NY dealer and never sold or used prior to me. That's why Leica issued me the Passport Warranty (as the original owner), when I decided to register the camera. 4.) The camera is being sold for a 'loss', and certainly not a 'profit'. 5.) If anyone is really serious and thinks that this this would be a worthy addition to their collection, heck, I'll throw in the 2nd Day shipping, (CONUS Only). Thanks, Brad H. steve_hoffman
Just giving you a hard time tonight, Brad. Hope you sell your Titan! It's a great camera...
jordi_rosales
It really is no more new if somebody checked the shooter or rotate the rewind knob or looked at it more than twice or put a lens on it. New is not more new if someone has to declare that it is new and someotherone find immediatly that this is worth a discussion about new or like new. "Like new" is obviously not "identically new" Nihil novum sub sole
henry_ting2
Well all my cameras are "like new" except those that are my users. Come to think of it, on the other hand, I've bought showroom new Leicas in worse condition than my "like new" cameras.
paul_neuthaler
Don Chatterton has one -- "Mint-" for $1,495. I recently bought a "Mint-" chrome M6ttl from him and it is like new in every respect (cost me $1,295)-- a very late model 276xxx.
john_r._fulton_jr.
Congrats Brad---this is about as much hulabaloo as I've seen recently over a simple "FS" item. Sheesh. (BTW, sounds like a great camera).

A friend of mine has had to send the last several items he got from Chatterton back because they were either defective or the condition was overstated, and won't buy from him again. The guy took his sweet time issuing a refund too. I've personally never bought from him, having heard mixed reviews before. There are enough guys like Jim Kuehl and Rich Pinto who I've never heard anything negative about.
tom_duffy1
Yeah, leave Brad alone. my local dealer has a used M6 Titanium for $1895. a new one should be worth the same even with a direct sale via photonet. wish I could afford it, right now. I think this is the most beautiful Leica ever made.
jay_.
The ostrich leather covering is a perfect match for any Leicaphile who believes that film will be around a long time.
tom_duffy1
Cute, but wrong. film, especially b&w, will be around for a long, long time. long enough that you could purchase a new Leica today and use it till it wears out!
michael s.
Looks as though this camera is also up for auction on ebay at this time. True?
thomas_turk
Wharra lotta noise about an M6 (or M7 for that matter).. It is like a lady body-builder with super ripped abs, (great looking camera), who works-out like crazy, (good mechanical/electrical operation), but dislikes sex, (shutter speeds too slow), can't cook, (doesn't take long teles,) and doesn't appreciate Mozart, (forget about macro).. That would make it either half a lady or half a camera...Now, if the R8 or R9 tanks are too big for u, u can always get a Contax Aria and Zeiss glass. Better color saturation than Leica glass.. I had both...
brad_herman1
I have adjusted the price to $1850.00, with 2-3 day shipping included. Thanks.
