Recommended pro labs in Philadelphia area (PA)???

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I am looking for pro-lab in Philadelphia area.

Actually I found one in lancaster ave.

which name is "the camera shop".

Their quality of work seems just fine but too expensive and slow.

C-41 120 (16exp) for $25 with 4*5 prints.

I can't take this price for my work.

Pro Lab quality with resonable price... this is where i have to

find quickly.

I think there are lots of photographers in philly.

Please tell me recommended pro labs in philly...

(location, name, phone number...plz)

I live outside of Philadelphia, and I have given up on labs around here in the suburbs. They are ridiculously priced, with ill-informed associates behind the counter. The only pro lab that I know of around here is in Media, PA, maybe only 15 minutes from center city.

Its called Mecca Imaging. http://www.meccaimaging.com/

Good luck. I am sure that there are a few downtown, but I am unaware of them. "The Camera Shop", where on Lancaster Ave. is that located?

JUN,

If you don't mind the trip to Cherry Hill, check out Focus Photo Labs. They have a 30 inch Durst Epsilon printer as well as a complete C41 line. They are located in the Springdale Shopping Center (click for map & directions); and their number is 856-751-9088.

I work there part time doing image editing as well as maintaining the servers. I also process their B&W and E6 roll and sheet film in my own lab.

Cheers!
Hi Jun,

This is a question that took an incredible journey to answer. Give "Color Reflections" at 400 Green Street a try. They have been doing consistant work for me for a couple of years, plus you won't have to mortgage the farm to cover your bills. They are slightly higher than the 1 hour houses, but I believe that the old adage is true..."you do get what you pay for". Good luck and let us all know how you make out.

Thank you again :)

I really appreciate your help...

Matt, I went there today but they closed... it's not far from my house, I will revisit in next week.

Dan, I would be glad to go cherry hill... I will knock that place soon.

Gerry, "you do get what you pay for" - that's what I belive too.

400 green st. As soon as I got the location on the map I am going to check that place out.

Have a nice week !

 • 3 weeks later...

I use Quaker photo on a regular basis. They have a three hour turn-around on E-6 Processing. They are located on Vine Street just east of the convention center.

I wish I could find a pro lab closer to my home in Atlantic County, NJ.

Based on the postings here I used Quaker on Arch and 11th. Turn around was 4 hours - the slides were perfectly mounted and processed without any scratches. BUT the cost was $13 plus per roll - time did not permit or else I would have had them done at National Geographic for half the price.
