jerry_lehrer
TT You had better get it now while you can, 'cause the Digi 3 will be out in the Fall. Jerry

andrew_rose
I think it was, um, a joke.
jordi_rosales
- A friend of mine has never purchased a refrigerator, because he is always waiting for the newest model. In the meantime he is really unhappy :=)) By the way: my M3 does not fear any M3-2 or M3-3 and so on following each other in closed intervals of few months. The existing newest M's are but a little thing compared with a genuine M3. Nothing can replace the action of time in a timeless beautiful piece like this. -
awahlster
WOW Amazon, com is selling Leicas now how high class is that! I'm impressed. NOT
jerry_lehrer
No, it is not a joke. Just extrapolation based on the real fact that Panasonic will show their new version (which will become the Leica Digi 3) in time for the Fall/ Winter photo/ electronics shows. pierre_claquin1
I bought the Panasonic for 1200 USD in Jakarta (it came from Hong Kong, so it should be even cheaper there). I have used it a lot during the past 3 weeks and really like the build-in grip (not available on Leica) and its ease of use despite the limitation (Raw writing, etc..) described at length on luminous-lanscape.com We live in an imperfect world of compromise. Incidently I love the Sony DSC T1 as a pocket camera. Really handy Happy shooting.
jonydirk
Price on D2 coming down....and the D3 coming out in the fall!?! WOW!! Will the D3 need a 69mm UV/protection filter?? If so, will Leica have a 69mm filter available by then!!?? Or are they going to make a lense that has a 71.43 mm filter thread....?
