barefoot Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Dear All, Can anyone recommend, as a source of inspiration, a street photographer currently making a name for him/herself shooting street scenes in London. I've looked at some of Brandt's work in the East End - which I like alot - but am really interested in the contemporary angle so to speak. Seems he is actually using his street photography commercially through an agency called Balcony Jump (http://www.balconyjump.co.uk/home.html) I am not sure what the return is like, but he seems to be working. I had a good look at Jawad Ashraf's site yesterday and it was quite strange as he and I have photographed very similar scenes. This was very positive feedback for me. All too often I have rejected shots feeling they lacked interest. It is good to know someone else is shooting these scenes. I shall explore the other photogs over the w/end.
