charles_sels
Does a real 6x9 back exists? I like the proportion, it is the same like the 35 mm format, but I noticed the most "6x9" backs are not 6x9cm but 6x8cm. Does anybody know the largest 6x9cm back? colin carron
My Wista 6x9 back measures 56 x 82mm. Strictly the 2:3 ratio should make it 56 x 84mm but 2mm does not seem much to quibble about. This back is thicker than the calumet type and requires that the gg screen is removed for use. So a universal graflok back is needed rather than a spring type back. lwg
If you use the Linhoff Rollex back, be aware that the film spacing is not correct with thinner films like Velvia, Astia etc. It works OK with Ilford HP5 and FP4. For the thinner films I have found that advancing the film a bit past the starting arrow before closing the back will correct this. I think it was one full turn. armin_seeholzer
Hi My backs lists as follows: Sinar 6x9 = 8.75 Toyo = 8.55 Horseman = 8.25 Good light!
leonard_evens
No sheet film holder or roll film holder for 6 x 9 is going to give you an image 60 mm deep. It is more likely to be in the range 56 to 58 mm. I don't have any 6 x 9 roll film holders, but my Horseman 6 x 7 roll film holders provide an image just about 56 x 70. If you assume 56 mm, then a 3:2 aspect ratio would yield 84 mm for the width.
