aron
A curious thing reared its head on my last wedding shoot. It didn't seem to cause much of a problem, but rather a concern. It seems that my braketing center has moved to negative 1/2 stop. What I mean is that on the screen, the zero hash mark center for braketing has become -1/2 and when I choose to bracket, it centers around -1/2. I am not sure if this is truly affecting my pictures as I bracket due to the inconsistent metering I have ( personally ) experienced. I still get 3 seperate and different exposures with this new problem, but just curious if a re-boot or something else will recenter the bracketing at 0. Thanks for the help. phil vaughan - yorkshire u
have you set exposure compensation to -1/2?
aron
I am pretty sure I double checked the exposure compensation. I was not aware that the copensation would show on the braketing screen. Good suggestion which I will check when I get home.
awindsor
I don't have a 10D but I can confirm that on my EOS 5 if you set exposure compensation then the auto exposure bracketing does show around the new EC compensated exposure and not around 0. That seems to be the likely problem. If you set compensation to 0 and you see only - 1/2 then you definitely have EC set to -1/2.
scott s
Did you recently switch to 1/3 stops?
aron
Not the exposure compensation. Not sure what it is.
