darkwolf
Ok, I've got to hear what you all have to say on this. Granted in allrespects I'm just starting out in SLR photograpy. My last camera, aMavica CD1000 was great, but not an SLR. So.. Forgive me if I'm alittle green around the edges.. ;) Anyway, I want to know who you think the best digital processorcompany is and why. Currently I go through Winflash (don't laugh, they're decent and cheap) but am looking to step up the bar more. My current camera is an EOS Digital Rebel XT w/ 2 Sigma lenses. Ifigure it would be suited for large prints as well, beyond 8x10. Atany rate, what are your thoughts? P.S. I live in the US, so it'd be nice to not ship over seas to getphotos printed.. ;)
christopher posey
http://www.whcc.com/ I do not know about "best" but I love their prices and results. 56 wallets for $11.90, an 8 X 10 for $1.90, 2-day shipping included!

klix
BTW, currently, you're going through decent and cheap... But now, you're asking for the best, and as with most things in life, IMHO, BEST and CHEAP are mutually exclusive. A and I will contend for best, but it is not cheap. r.t. dowling
Adorama is pretty good. It's not the best, but it's significantly better than outfits such as Snapfish and Ofoto, and the pricing is very reasonable ($0.19 for 4x6, $1.99 for 8x10, etc.). They print on Kodak Royal paper, glossy or matte, borders or no borders.
r.t. dowling
Forgot to add this to my previous post: If you don't mind being restricted to matte finish paper, Wal-Mart 1-hour labs usually do a pretty good job at printing digital files. The pricing is hard to beat, and they're everywhere.
daniel_taylor
I second WHCC.
darkwolf
A&I and WHCC sound like a step in the right direction.. I'm not looking for cheap, already have a source for that.. I'm looking for quality.. Also if they do any special printing, say, on canvas or large format.. As for WalMart, I did a test print of the same photo with them (online) and Winkflash.. Winkflash came out ahead by a bit but they were both on the same lines.. So, with price not the major issue, any other opinions? :)
r.t. dowling
MPIX.com is good as well. They offer several different types of paper, print up to 20x30, etc.
ajweiss
I've only gotten a few prints so far, but my <a href="http://www.smugmug.com/? referrer=68jv8qv7EHg8w">smugmug</a> account uses <a href="http:// www.ezprints.com/">ezprints</a>, and I am happy with the quality. They print all sizes from wallets to 20x30, along with all of the cheesy photo gifts (mugs, puzzles, keychains, etc.) you could want. All told, there are over 115 print options. Their prices aren't the lowest, but they are good.
