diegobuono
Luca, I paied it (second hand) 450.000 lire (Italy) near 4 years ago. Recently I have seen it for sale (second hand) from 150 to 200 euro. I think american price is lower. I think it is usable with all lenses except the makro 135, I use it with the 80 and, over all 250. Works with the 50 too but is a non sense.I have never owned a zeiss 2X so I can't compare, I can tell you that I'm satisfied with it but the level of satisfaction is different for different people. In my personal page on photo.net there is some picture taken with it. I project my slides (from 1m X 1m to 3m x 3m) and print some picture (no bigger than 50 x 50). Worth to buy it? It depend on how you intend to use it and if for professional or amateur use. I'm an amateur and use it not wery ofeten so for me is not justified to buy a zeiss. If you like slides it is handy to have it, if you use print film you can crop the print or use the central portion of the frame, the Medium Format frame is big enough and you don't have a big loss in term of quality compared with the use of a non-zeiss teleconverter. frank_scheitrowsky1
I have used a Kenko teleconverter with the 80mm lens on my Hasselblad with very good results. I do not have a Zeiss converter to compare it with. I paid $400 Cdn for mine 8 years ago.
edward_burlew
I have used a vivitar 2x for years adn I also got a zeiss. The zeiss is definetly better btu the vivitar is very excellent. If you are using a pre cf lense then use either. There is little reaale of the non-hasselbald doublers. I stll use the vivitar on portraits. luca_pastorelli
I am an amateur and not a professional photographer. I am considering to buy a vivitar or kenko because of the great difference in price with zeiss 2x. Thank you for your comments!
