hooten_baldini
I love the chrome 50mm i picked up on ebay, flare and all. But the 100mm cfi that i rent might take it as my favorite. sharp to a fault, it's great for upclose portraits as well as any other application. the color rendition is superb, and i love the proportions it gives me. not too heavy for field use, i just wish i could afford to pick one up right now =p What's yours? greg_jones1
Well, since you asked: I too love the 100mm Planar. And the 180mm Sonnar is a delight. But if I was allowed to keep only one Hasselblad with one lens, you could not pry my SWC/M with the 38mm Biogon out of my hands...
Rob F.
38 Biogon. 60 Distagon; 100 Planar; 150 Sonnar. Also, I find the 250 Sonnar to be very-good to excellent, even though people say it's mediocre. I find that I only begin to see what the 250 can do when it's used with a tripod. That's what I've arrived at for my personal choices.
andreas_carl
38 - 60 - 100 - 180. For a single lens outfit, my favourite is the CF60 lens, I just love it!

derek_stanton2
If i had to choose only one, the 80mm CFE. If i could have four: 80, 50, 110/2, 180.
john_sandys1
The Standard 80 on my 500CM does me just fine, Regards, John.
raymond_tai
50mm f/2.8 FE. Very fast, very easy to focus due to the large grip, very sharp especially close up, and full AE on the right body. Absolutely great for walkaround photography.
gary_ferguson1
"I find the 250 Sonnar to be very-good to excellent, even though people say it's mediocre" I'm with you, my 250mm dates from the 1950's and I'd struggle to find any shortcoming in its performance compared with my modern Hassie 180mm or my modern Contax 645 210mm and 350mm. I'm not sure what my favourite Hassie lens is, but I know the least favourite. That's the 120mm macro, great close-up but as a versatile all rounder it's a non-starter, because it visibly softens at longer distances.

stefan_kahlert2
Here is another vote for the Sonnar 5.6/250mm. Small and light compared with other options of this focal length. But its physical appearance and obvious handholdability is misleading: it definitely needs a good tripod, mirror-prerelease and must be focussed carefully. If someone does not get sharp pictures from an old C non-T* I would recommend to first check his technique thoroughly and get a Pro-Shade. It takes some practice to get the best out this lens but its definitely worth it, a good focal length to pick out details from landscapes as well as stills and it is relatively cheap on the used market. gary_yeowell
It's a tough call but probably my 100CF which is absolutely stunning especially wide open, followed closely by my 60CF, 180CF then 50CF FLE. I've had SWCM's and liked them but I think my 43mm on my mamiya 7 is the best wide i have ever used!

patrick_s2
I'll toss a vote for the sonnar 150mm. It is easy to hold, and I love the look of it. Patrick
tony_estcourt
160 CB, optically this lens is fine and light enough to carry in three lens outfit in backpack. Optically my favourite lens is the 50mm CF but the 160 CB allows me to carry a MF telephoto for the first time. I must be the only person in the world that likes this lens! I'm glad it was a flop because the second-hand price was very low.
dougfromtumwater
Tony, I really like my 160 CB also! It's a great lens with wonderful ergonomics and it's tack sharp! A close second place for me is my 50mm CFi, I'm still getting to know this lens and I am warming to it.

yun_chen3
I am using cfi 60, cfe180, and cfe350. My next lens will be 100mm or 120mm.
tarashnat
My favorite is the 100mm f/3.5 C T*. My 500mm f/8 CF Tele-Apotessar comes in at a close second. And I like all the other lenses in my kit, too. Each has its uses. I wish I had a caddie for my lenses. When going out with the camera, I usually bring my 50mm, 100mm, and 150mm. bruce_erickson1
I guess there must be something wrong with me; I am sort of fond of the 80mm lens! (I also like the 120mm macro planar.) I rented a 250 once but did not like it.
