Forget the camera kit, what else is in your wedding bag!

So, a few weddings under the belt as second shooter, and first one on my own in a couple of

weeks.

I think that I've covered off which camera kit I need to have with (and all the backup kit!).

I remember a really good post from here a while back where photographers listed all the non

photographic kit that they took with them to weddings (and yes I have searched for it!)

So for starters;

Powder

Hairgrips

Plasters

Thanks for all your help and support over the last year

James

Its a ritual. I go to the supermarket the thursday before a wedding and buy: Starbucks doubleshot expresso (and drink right before the ceremony and the reception)water,powerbars,breath mints, business cards. The last wedding I got distracted and left the bag of goodies in the car. I got so dehyhrated and was difficult to work. I think water is the most important item!

I find it odd that so many photographers here pack things like threads and needles, just in case the bride needs a quick sew job? You would think that things of this nature would be the responsibilty of the mom, or maid of honor, or something. Why the photographer? It doesnt' make any sense to me.

Brandon...

I've fixed makeup, hair, hems, wine stains, shoe heels etc...

Why?

A happy bride is a beautiful non-stressed bride and a beautiful and happy bride is a great photo subject and a great photo subject makes my work look good!
