Digital Print Sales of Weddings and Events: How to get the most out of it?

I mostly do corporate, but have been enlisted by a friend to shoot

their wedding. I think mainly to help cut costs (not eliminate

them).

I am digital, and I want to offer prints to all the people at the

wedding. For example, have an e-commerce site to sell my

photos, and give people a card at the reception with the address.

But, I need to have an e-mail sent to me (so I can order off the

web) or an e-mail sent to my local lab to have them print the

photos.

How do other people handle this?

The bride-and-groom are the 'key' elements of any wedding.

The bride's mom is the second 'key.'

It would be in rather poor taste to have the photographer (you) running through the reception line -- passing out business cards or a flyer to let 'everyone' know where they can get images. (If someone inquires how to get a photo, passing along a business card is OK....)

I guess if you handle the situation like a Little League photo op,

you will get a lot of Little League responses from the families attending the wedding.

If you use soemthing like Kodak's Pro Shots, or Photoreflect then all you need is a small sign on a table, with your business cards with your web site. They go to the site and order pictures right there. Different service have different arrangements for the actual print fullfillment. It's even pretty easy to create a web page with Breeze Browser that has the code and icons for getting paid via Paypal.
