kenny_c.
I have OM eyecup 1 which can be perfectly mounted on Pextax Spotmatic F camera. What is current Pentax eyecup part which still can be brought new and interchaneable with OM cameras. The reason to ask is that, as you know, the OM eyecup is not available new. john_fleetwood
That's strange - I have a Pentax diopter on my spotmatic (SL, actually) that won't fit on my OM-1 or OM-2. There's a Nikon diopter on the OM-2, though I can't tell you which one.
kieran_hamill
Accessory eyecups in camera shops here (eg Jessops) are marked Olympus OM / Pentax M fit - ie these are one and the same. This also implies there is more than one type of Pentax eyecup fitting.
kenny_c.
I have checked Pentax forum and got the answer. Unfortunately there is no new pentax eyecup (slid-on style as the OM eyecup1/2) available. The Pentax eyecups for their m42 screwmount and k-mount(k series, which is early models of K-mount) are compatible and they are also compatible with OM1/2/3/4 cameras. The later Pentax K-mount, series M and A camera have bigger eyepiece frame which is not compatible with early K series cameras. Hope it helps. kenny_c.
I also found the eyecup (for OM) bought from ebay is actually for Pentax M,A series cameras. It is just loosely fitted on my OM camera. Ebay seller don't know what they are selling
john_fleetwood
The Nikon diopter on my OM-1 has to be pushed up slightly before I can open the back.
