matthew_eckart
Do anyone know if the Zuiko 28mm f2.8 lens came with a case? If so, was it the hard variety like came with the Zuiko 28mm f3.5 lens? Or, was it more of a pouch, like the 100N pouch. Thanks,Matthew
kenny_c.
The late Zuiko 28mm f2.8 lens does not come with a case but a soft black pouch. In 70's seems that most lenses come with a case. The olny Zuiko lens I must carry with its case is the Zuiko 16/3.5 fish-eye lens since its front cap is loosely put-on style and no screw at all. douglas_green1
Don't know if it came with a hard case, but a hard case is certainly available. I have one, that came with mine when I bought it 2nd hand.
lex_jenkins
A hard leather (leatherette?) case was designed for the 28/2.8 Zuiko. It's also designed to hold the flared metal screw-in lens hood in the lid of the case.
konrad_beck1
It seems that the 28/2.8 was one of the last lenses introduced for which a hard case was designed (except for the 180/2, 250/2 and 350/2). The 28/2.8 came on the market in fall 1980; in some brochures from early 1981, and the german "Das Lexikon des OM Systems" ed. 1981 (manuscript deadline Dec. 1980) it is mentioned that in the future the hard cases are replaced by the soft pouches. Thus I expect that early 28/2.8 (designated "ZUIKO MC") might have come with the hard case. Also in fall 1980, Olympus introduced the 80/4 Auto Macro, 135/4.5 macro, 35-70/4 and the 2x-A converter. Has anybody seen a hardcase for these lenses?
skip_williams
There is a hard case for the 135/4.5 Macro, I just sold mine with the case.
