ron murray
I have an event with over 4000 images. I would like to create a dvd or cd where someone could view and control a slide show (on a dvd player) that displays the existing name of the photo and is only at 72 ppi.It would act as a proof sheet so they can make note of a photo to order as well as enjoy viewing the photos.I use a mac. Sorry for the run on sentence. Thanks,Ron
jerry_freeman1
4000 Images? At one second per frame that is an hours worth of viewing. You think someone will do this? If so Batch resize and name in Photoshop. iPhoto will choke, so consider making a QuickTime movie in QuickTime Pro. ..jf
jwink3101
Will Quicktime display the photo name?
ellis_vener_photography
You might try making a self contained web gallery (sort of website on a disk) with Adobe Photoshop CS. You vcan put all sorts of data in the info tab: headline tiltle, date, EXIF, etc.
jerry_freeman1
Justin, if I understand your question, the answer is no, not directly in QT. If the name is on the image itself, then it would be displayed in QT. I have PhotoMechanic which is robust and might do the job as a slideshow, but I have no idea with 4000 images. An email to the author might clarifiy it's capabilty. The reason QT Pro came to mind is the issue of viewer control, pretty simple interface...jf
simon_kemp2
FWIW I make QT movies from iView Media Pro. You get a check box to display names and that way when the slideshow is playing the filename appears in a little window. The viewer can pause the movie and note the filename. You can of course make QT movies from iPhoto, but you don't have much control over the final product.
jerry_freeman1
iView is my everyday slideshow software and it's easy enough, but I wonder that it would handle 4000 images...jf
