Using TCON-17 with C-730

The Olympus website says that the TCON-17 1.7x teleconverter "is not

compatible with the C-700/720/730 Ultra Zoom models due to the type of

lens design used by these models." Does anyone know what the results

are if you do use the TCON-17 with a C-730? Do you get completely

unuseable pictures? I would very much like to be able to increase the

lens power on my C-730.

I haven't gotten an answer here, but I did get responses about this question on other forums. The answer is: you can use the TCON-17 with the C-730 camera. It works fine. I bought one and it works great.
