Zeiss Jena Lenses for Hasselblad

I am very interested in adopting former East German Zeiss Lenses

(lenses made for Pentacon) for my Hasselblad 201F. Does anyone know

which of them are useable for Hasselblad. Someone offer me an

180mm/F2.8 Zeiss Jena. Does anyone know the quality of this lens,

how does it compare to the Carl Zeiss CF 180mm/F4 offer by Hasselblad?

How about other Zeiss Jena lenses then?

The following lenses can definetely be adapted:

3,5/30 mm Arsat,

2,8/120 mm CZJ Biometar,

2,8/180 mm CZJ Sonnar,

4,0/300 mm CZJ Sonnar,

4,0/300 mm Pentacon (Meyer Görlitz),

5,6/500 mm Pentacon (Meyer Görlitz)

I am not sure about other lenses. For comments about the quality of these lenses go to http://www.pentaconsix.btinternet.co.uk/LensTest.htm

The 2.8/180mm CZJ MC Sonnar lens is gold. I am a Rolleiflex 6008 user and I purchased a Pentacon 6ttl and Kiev 88Cm to use this lens. The 2.8/180 is one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. (Yes even at 2.8.)

Other CZJ lens for convertion" The 120mm is a general photographic lens. If you need a 120mm for distance work the CZJ lenses it is worth it. If you need a close-up lens, better to pass on it. 4/300mm is a fine lens.

You should be very happy with any of the three lenses for portraits and general photography use. For portraits keep your Zeiss Softar filters near by, women will like you for it. :)

King,

The Zeiss Pentacon lenses look fine, but they don't focus at close distances.

If I remember correctly, the 180mm and the 120mm set at the closest focus basically

photograph the same frame.

Neither Lens allows a tight Head Shot.

I have sold my P6 gear and moved to Hasselblad 500 c/m and I can say for certain

that the Hassy lenses and my Rollei TLR are much better than the P6 Lenses that I

had.
